emoticon

最近、ニュースモノは外国語から取得してることが多いのだけれど、
"emoticon"
ていう英単語が出てきて、辞書にも載ってないし、何だろ?と思ったら、 「顔文字」のことなのね。。

 G-検索したらすぐ出てきたw

I usually pick up current topics by foreign languages, and found a word "emoticon" in English.

Indeed, my dictionary doesn't have such word. Searching with Google, it means "顔文字" in English like ":)" or ":(".
Does it mean a limitation of analogue dictionary?!

Here is an advisory page about "emoticon," which includes both "Japanese" and "American" emoticons.

Actually, "m(_ _)m" comes from Japanese, and those above comes from American...
Do you use emoticons in your private e-mail with your friends?!

(英語で書いたら長くなったw)
